Looking for a Procurement Officer for Doha, Qatar.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures that all purchasing follows regulations and laws related to purchasing practices.
  2. Negotiates appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
  3. Collaborates with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
  4. Researches and evaluates potential vendors and suppliers.
  5. Negotiates with suppliers to obtain the best deal for individual products or longer-term discount agreements.
  6. Coordinates with suppliers and staff to resolve routine purchasing supply issues.
  7. Coordinates and resolves problems with end user departments and suppliers.
  8. Initiates and tracks orders for the company, including stock items, consumables, office supplies, equipment and services.
  9. Prepares and develops bid documents and supplier bid lists to obtain competitive quotations on commodities and services.
  10. Monitors and reviews purchasing budgets, undertaking basic cost/budget analysis, highlighting cost changes to management.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Four to five years experience in the Procurement field.
  3. Able to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  4. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  5. Talent in negotiations and networking.
  6. Must be a highly motivated self-starting individual.
  7. Integrity, judgement and professionalism.
